Afghanistan Can Become a Graveyard for Invaders, Pakistan Must Be Cautious,” Says Mahmood Khan Achakzai

Quetta – Mahmood Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and head of the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain-e-Pakistan, has said that any of Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries, if they wish, could capture Kabul within three days, but holding it would be extremely difficult.
In a post on social media, Achakzai stated that Afghanistan had historically proven to be a “graveyard” for British India, the Soviet Union, and the United States, referring to the prolonged conflicts and failures of foreign powers in the country.
He warned that attempting to take control of Afghanistan would be a “dangerous ambition,” adding that Pakistan should also remain cautious so that it does not face a similar fate.
His remarks come amid ongoing regional debates about security, stability, and geopolitical tensions involving Afghanistan and its neighbouring states.
