Iran Signals Willingness for Diplomacy, Urges U.S. to Change “Threatening Tone

Tehran: Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has stated that Tehran is ready to keep the path of diplomacy open, but stressed that the United States must first change its “threatening tone and expansionist approach.”

According to reports, Araghchi held telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, and Azerbaijan, briefing them on Iran’s efforts to end tensions with the United States and Israel.

He emphasized that Iran remains open to diplomatic engagement, provided Washington revises its current posture.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said that Pakistan is acting as a formal mediator in potential talks with the United States. Officials added that if negotiations are scheduled, an official announcement will be made.
