Abbas Araghchi Arrives in Islamabad for High-Level Talks

Islamabad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, leading a senior delegation, has arrived in Islamabad for important diplomatic engagements, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
The Foreign Office confirmed that the Iranian delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir upon arrival.
During the visit, the Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to hold meetings with Pakistan’s top leadership. Discussions will focus on the latest regional developments and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
The visit comes as part of a wider diplomatic tour, after which Araghchi is also expected to travel to Muscat and Moscow for further consultations.
Earlier, the Iranian foreign minister announced on social media platform X that he would be undertaking visits to Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow, stating that neighboring countries remain Iran’s top priority. He said the purpose of the visits is to maintain close coordination with regional partners and consult on evolving regional developments.
Meanwhile, according to White House statements reported by international media, U.S. representatives including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are also expected to participate in separate peace-related talks, with reports suggesting their travel to Pakistan for discussions scheduled later this week.
