Iranian Leadership Rejects Trump Claims, Says National Unity Is “Ironclad”

TEHRAN: Iranian officials have strongly rejected repeated claims by US President Donald Trump suggesting divisions within Iran’s political system, insisting instead that the country remains fully united under its leadership.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, head of Iran’s judiciary Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei criticized Trump’s remarks, saying labels such as “moderate” and “hardliner” are “fabricated and baseless concepts” rooted in Western political narratives. He added that all factions in Iran ultimately follow unified national directives.
In Iran there are no "hardliners" or "moderates" We are all Iranians and revolutionaries. With ironclad unity of nation and state and obedience to the Supreme Leader, we will make the aggressor regret. One God, one nation, one leader, one path; victory for Iran, dearer than life

Similar messages of unity were also echoed by Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and President Masoud Pezeshkian, both of whom stated that there is no internal division within the country and emphasized what they described as “iron unity” among the Iranian people and state institutions.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also reiterated that diplomacy and battlefield developments are “interconnected fronts” of the same strategic approach, stressing that national cohesion has strengthened amid external pressure.
The remarks came in response to comments by Trump, who has repeatedly argued that internal divisions between so-called “hardliners” and “moderates” in Iran are obstructing any potential diplomatic agreement between Tehran and Washington.

Meanwhile, unverified reports circulating in regional media have made claims regarding internal changes within Iran’s leadership structure, including the alleged emergence of a new senior figure. However, these reports have not been officially confirmed by Iranian authorities, and no public appearance or verification has been provided.
Observers note that previous internal political tensions have surfaced in Iran’s public discourse, including past controversies involving leaked recordings and debates over the role of different security and political institutions in foreign policy decisions.
Despite external speculation, Iranian officials maintain that the country’s political and institutional framework remains unified and firmly aligned under central leadership.
