Bugti Announces Rs3 Billion Development Plan for Each District, Rejects Armed Struggle in Balochistan

Gwadar (Kudrat Daily) – Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced a major development initiative, stating that Rs3 billion worth of projects will be allocated for each district across Balochistan, while strongly rejecting the idea of achieving freedom through armed struggle.
Addressing a public jirga held at the Gwadar Port Authority, Bugti said that the provincial government’s vision goes beyond politics and is focused on securing a better future for the people of Balochistan.
He emphasized that Baloch youth had been pushed into a “futile and uneven war,” asserting that no meaningful outcome or change in destiny could be achieved through violence. “Freedom cannot be achieved at gunpoint,” he stated, urging young people to stay away from misleading propaganda on social media.
The jirga was attended by Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Corps Commander Quetta Lt Gen Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, and other political, military, and civil representatives.
Bugti highlighted that Gwadar remains a top priority for the government, noting significant improvements in education and infrastructure over the years. He said efforts to reopen closed schools had shown strong results, particularly in Gwadar, where a large number of institutions have resumed operations and teacher recruitment has been completed.
On the issue of water scarcity, the Chief Minister claimed that the government has implemented a permanent solution, while also taking action against tanker mafias and corruption linked to the crisis.
Discussing security, he urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, stating that effective checking at security posts is essential to prevent دہشتگرد infiltration. He added that security forces are committed to eliminating militancy while minimizing harm to civilians.
Bugti also announced that, starting after June, all government recruitments will be conducted through artificial intelligence (AI), ensuring transparency and eliminating the need for candidates from Gwadar to travel to Quetta for interviews.
He further revealed that thousands of scholarships have been awarded to students across the province and reiterated the government’s commitment to reducing corruption and accelerating development projects.
The Chief Minister concluded by expressing confidence that, with honest governance and proper direction, Balochistan’s future can be transformed into one of peace, progress, and prosperity.
