Malaria Outbreak Spreads in Dera Murad Jamali, Hundreds Affected

Dera Murad Jamali:A malaria outbreak has spread across Dera Murad Jamali and surrounding areas, with hundreds of people আক্রান্ত as the disease continues to surge following recent rains.
According to reports, stagnant rainwater in streets, neighborhoods, and residential areas has led to a sharp increase in mosquito breeding, fueling the rapid spread of malaria. Men, women, and children have been affected, with many patients being admitted to local hospitals.
Dera Murad Jamali, the divisional headquarters of Nasirabad, has witnessed a significant rise in malaria cases as poor drainage and accumulated dirty water remain unaddressed after the rains.
Social and public circles, along with political groups, have expressed serious concern over the situation and have urged the Nasirabad Health Department to immediately launch a fumigation and anti-mosquito spray campaign in Dera Murad Jamali and nearby areas.
Residents warn that without urgent action, the outbreak could worsen further, posing a serious public health threat.
