Quetta Bypass Protest Ends After Successful Negotiations, Traffic Restored

Quetta: The protest sit-in on the Quetta Bypass has been called off following successful negotiations between demonstrators and government officials, leading to the restoration of traffic and relief for commuters.

According to details, the protest had been staged over the Hazarganji incident, causing severe disruption to traffic flow for several hours and creating difficulties for the public.

The situation was resolved after Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau personally reached the site and held direct talks with the protestors. The delegation also included Provincial Assembly member Mir Sammad Gorgage and Home Department Assistant Babar Yousafzai.

Officials briefed the participants on government actions and assured them that those involved in the Hazarganji incident would be arrested soon and brought to justice.

Speaking on the occasion, the Interior Minister said the government’s engagement with the protestors was aimed at expressing solidarity and addressing their concerns. He added that elements involved in disturbing peace in Balochistan would not be allowed to succeed, and all attempts to destabilize the province would be foiled.

He further emphasized that the state’s authority would be maintained at all costs and assured that law enforcement agencies are actively working to apprehend those responsible.

Following assurances from the government, protestors agreed to end the sit-in, after which the bypass road was reopened to all types of traffic and normal life began to resume in the area.
