Thousands Protest in Israel, Demand Ceasefire and End to War Policies

Tel Aviv: Thousands of people have taken to the streets across Israel demanding an immediate ceasefire and an end to ongoing military operations following recent regional tensions, including the Iran conflict.
According to international media reports, a major protest was held at Habima Square in Tel Aviv, where thousands of demonstrators gathered despite police permits limiting attendance to around 1,000 participants.
Protesters chanted slogans against the government’s war policies and ongoing military actions in Lebanon and other parts of the region. Many carried banners warning that occupation in southern Lebanon would be a “disastrous decision” and that true security in Israel can only be achieved through peace.
Demonstrators called on the government to immediately abandon its military strategy and pursue diplomatic solutions instead.
Reports indicate that this marks the sixth consecutive week of anti-war demonstrations in Israel. The protests have now expanded beyond Tel Aviv to other major cities, including Jerusalem, Haifa, and Beersheba.
Participants warned that ongoing military escalation is endangering civilian lives and urged authorities to return to peace negotiations without delay.
