Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Agree to تعزيز Strategic Partnership and Expand Economic Cooperation

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to further strengthen their strategic partnership and expand cooperation in trade, investment, and economic sectors.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Saudi Finance Minister at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad. The visiting minister arrived on a one-day official trip along with a high-level delegation.
According to an official statement, the meeting included an exchange of good wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The prime minister also recalled his recent telephonic conversation with the Crown Prince and appreciated his goodwill towards Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s continued economic and financial support, noting that it has played a significant role in stabilizing Pakistan’s economy. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral trade, boosting investment flows, and deepening economic collaboration.
The prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan has always stood by Saudi Arabia in challenging times and described the relationship as one based on mutual trust and shared interests. The statement also highlighted a shared commitment to expanding economic cooperation in line with the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.
Both countries reiterated their resolve to continue cooperation at all levels, while the Saudi delegation expressed strong interest in further strengthening economic ties with Pakistan. The two sides also discussed joint efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
