British PM Starmer Meets Saudi Crown Prince in Jeddah, Discusses Strategic Partnership and Regional Security

Jeddah: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday in Jeddah to review bilateral relations and explore ways to strengthen strategic partnerships across various sectors.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments, security concerns, economic implications, and other matters of mutual interest. Both emphasized support for all efforts aimed at maintaining regional stability and security.
Also present at the meeting were Mecca Region Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the UK Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan, Minister of State and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaad bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, and Director General of Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan.
Earlier, Prime Minister Starmer was welcomed at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz and other senior officials.
The British prime minister also welcomed the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, stating that “there is still much work to be done to ensure the agreement is sustainable.” She further emphasized that issues concerning the Strait of Hormuz, which have global implications, also require ongoing attention.
