Pakistani Traders’ Delegation Meets Sindh IGP, Expresses Satisfaction Over Law and Order

Karachi: A 17-member delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), led by Vice President Saqib Fayyaz Mago, met with Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Javed Alam Odho to discuss the province’s law and order situation and security measures for businesses and industries.
The delegation included presidents and members of chambers of commerce and trade organizations from various cities of Sindh. During the meeting, they expressed satisfaction with the current law and order environment, stating that business activities are now being conducted in a safer and more favorable environment compared to the past.
The delegation highlighted that trade routes in Kandhkot, Shikarpur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and other areas in Katcha are now safe for cargo movement around the clock. The President of the Women Chamber of Commerce, Malir, urged that measures be taken to protect women traders and address their challenges. The President of Larkana Chamber of Commerce noted that business activities in Sukkur and Larkana have increased significantly following operations in Katcha and recommended an immediate Safe City project in these areas.
IGP Sindh Javed Alam Odho credited all stakeholders for maintaining peace and said his top priority after taking office was eliminating no-go areas in Katcha. He stated that around 280 criminals have surrendered since January, and the Sindh Police will further strengthen highway patrols to ensure safer roads.
He also mentioned that over 40,000 cameras have been installed in Karachi with the support of traders and that Women Protection Cells established in DIG offices will be responsible for addressing the concerns of female traders and industrialists.
