Punjab Jails Introduce Mobile App for Advance Prisoner Visits, Including Adiala Jail

Rawalpindi: A new mobile app has been launched to facilitate visits to prisoners across Punjab, including Adiala Jail, allowing visitors to **book appointments in advance**.

According to officials, the app can be downloaded from the **Google Play Store** and enables scheduled meetings with both convicts and under-trial detainees.

A circular has been issued to all jail superintendents across Punjab, instructing them to implement the system. The in-charge of each jail’s **Prisoners Management Information System (PMIS)** has received special training to manage the app, and operational videos have been provided to train the rest of the jail staff.

To streamline the process, staff have been assigned to the jail waiting areas to assist with online bookings, and **special facilitation counters** will be set up for visitors who book appointments via the app.

This initiative aims to modernize the prison visitation system and provide **convenience and efficiency** for both jail authorities and visitors.
