Saudi Arabia Deports 6,285 Illegal Immigrants Amid Record Violations

Riyadh – Saudi authorities have deported 6,285 illegal immigrants over the past week, while recording a total of 14,242 violations of residency, labor, and border laws, according to official reports.
Between March 26 and April 1, 2026, a total of 7,884 individuals were detained for violating residency (Iqama) regulations, 3,948 for attempting illegal border crossings, and 2,410 for labor law violations.
Among those arrested for entering the kingdom illegally, 1,449 individuals were apprehended, of whom 71% were Ethiopian, 27% Yemeni, and 2% from other countries. In addition, 29 individuals were caught attempting to cross the kingdom’s borders into neighboring countries.
Authorities also detained 25 people involved in facilitating travel, residence, employment, or shelter for illegal entrants.
Currently, 36,365 migrants—including 32,309 men and 4,056 women—are undergoing regulatory processing. Out of these, 6,808 individuals have been instructed to contact consulates for travel documents, 3,416 have been directed to arrange travel plans, and 6,285 have been officially deported from the kingdom.
Saudi authorities continue to enforce strict measures to curb illegal immigration and ensure compliance with labor and residency regulations.
