U.S. Emerges as World’s Largest Oil Producer, Surpassing Saudi Arabia and Russia Combined

Karachi — The United States has once again become the world’s largest oil producer, with output surpassing the combined production of Saudi Arabia and Russia, according to international data for 2026.
Reports indicate that U.S. oil production is projected to average around **13.6 million barrels per day in 2026**, with expectations of rising further to **13.8 million barrels per day in 2027**.
Global rankings place the United States firmly at the top, followed by Saudi Arabia in second place and Russia in third.
Recent figures suggest that total U.S. daily oil production ranges between **20.9 million and 22.8 million barrels**, accounting for approximately **15 to 20 percent of global output**.
In comparison, Saudi Arabia’s production stands between **10.8 and 11.2 million barrels per day**, while Russia produces between **10.5 and 10.9 million barrels per day**, placing both countries behind the United States in overall output.
The surge in U.S. production highlights its growing dominance in the global energy market and could have significant implications for international oil prices and geopolitical dynamics.
