Qatar Ends Visa-on-Arrival for Pakistani Travelers, Embassy Issues Urgent Advisory

Islamabad: Qatar has decided to suspend the visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistani citizens with immediate effect, requiring travelers to obtain a valid visa before departure.
In an emergency advisory, the Pakistani Embassy in Qatar warned that visa-on-arrival is no longer available under the current situation.
Officials stated that this move is part of broader visa reforms being coordinated with Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. These reforms aim to simplify immigration procedures, allow longer stays, and improve regional connectivity.
The initiative reflects a wider effort among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to modernize visa systems and promote tourism while ensuring security. By streamlining visa policies, Gulf states are seeking to enhance regional integration, boost economic growth, and position themselves as more accessible destinations for international travelers.
The latest development by Qatar aligns with broader regional changes, signaling a new phase of visa reforms across the Gulf aimed at creating a smoother and more flexible travel experience.
