Nora Fatehi Breaks Silence on Controversial Song, Raises Concerns Over Unauthorized Changes

ISLAMABAD: Canadian-born Indian actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has addressed the controversy surrounding her recent song, clarifying her position and raising concerns over unauthorized alterations.

According to Indian media reports, the song “Sarke Chunri Teri Sarke” from Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming film “KD: The Devil” sparked backlash shortly after its release on YouTube due to alleged inappropriate lyrics and visuals. Social media users widely criticized the content, targeting Fatehi for her performance.

In response, Nora Fatehi shared a video on her Instagram account, revealing that the song was originally shot three years ago for a Kannada-language film. She explained that she was unaware of the controversial elements, as the version she worked on did not contain any objectionable content.

Fatehi further stated that the song was later translated into Hindi without her knowledge or consent, and she was not informed about the dubbing changes. She also alleged that an image featuring her and Sanjay Dutt was created using artificial intelligence (AI) without her permission, which she strongly opposes.

In her statement, she emphasized that she does not support any inappropriate content and expressed gratitude for the criticism, noting that it led filmmakers to remove the song. She also urged fans not to share the video further, adding that some individuals were using the controversy for character assassination.

The dancer concluded by assuring that she and her team would exercise greater caution in future projects to avoid similar issues.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that a complaint had been filed with the Central Board of Film Certification, alleging that parts of the song contained objectionable lyrics and indecent visuals unsuitable for public viewing.
