KP Govt Investing Billions in Youth Development, Results Must Be Visible: Sohail Afridi

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi emphasized that the government is spending billions of rupees on youth welfare and development, and the outcomes of these investments should be clearly visible.
CM Afridi chaired a meeting of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) in Peshawar, where ongoing programs aimed at youth development were reviewed.
He stressed prioritizing skills and employment opportunities aligned with market needs and directed effective implementation of the Skills Development and Employment Promotion Program.
During the meeting, officials highlighted that TEVTA’s ongoing initiatives have long-term potential, and progress must be guided by a strong, strategic approach. The Chief Minister also announced that a detailed session on the Rural Economic Transformation Project will be held immediately after Eid.
Under this project, 42,000 youth are being provided an average startup grant of Rs 73,000 per person to help them launch their businesses and contribute to the economy.
