Two Indian Sisters Embroider Complete Quran with Needle and Thread, Aim to Gift It to Medina Library

BANGALORE — A unique copy of the Quran, painstakingly embroidered by two sisters from Bangalore, is going viral on social media once again.
According to media reports, sisters Bibi Tabassum and Saria Qureshi spent four and a half years creating the Quran entirely with needle and thread embroidery. They meticulously transferred all 30 chapters (Juz’) of the Quran onto five volumes of fabric, producing a total of 604 pages.
Each page was hand-embroidered with the Quranic verses on cotton fabric, and later all pages were bound into five volumes covered in velvet. Bibi Tabassum shared that she initially worked on smaller Quranic verses but later joined hands with her elder sister, starting from Surah Al-Fatiha and completing the work through Surah An-Naas with guidance from a religious scholar.
The sisters hope their extraordinary creation will be placed in a library in Madinah, and they have even contacted the Saudi government to facilitate this wish.
Social media users have widely shared videos of the work, praising the sisters for their dedication, skill, and devotion.
