Trump’s Approval Rating Falls to Career-Low 33%, Reuters Poll Shows

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 33 percent, marking the lowest level of his political career, according to a Reuters poll.

The survey found that among independent voters, 36 percent said they would vote for Democratic candidates in the upcoming midterm elections, while 22 percent said they would support Republican candidates.

According to the poll, the war with Iran and Trump’s economic policies are among the major factors behind the decline in his approval rating.

The survey also showed that 71 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with Trump’s handling of inflation and the rising cost of everyday living.

Democrats, meanwhile, have welcomed Trump’s declining popularity ahead of the November midterm elections.
