UAE Helicopter Crashes Amid Missile and Drone Attacks, 2 Soldiers Killed

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense reported that a helicopter crashed due to a technical malfunction, resulting in the deaths of two military personnel.
The incident occurred on a day when the UAE faced multiple missile and drone attacks. Out of 15 ballistic missiles fired at the country, 12 were successfully intercepted, while three fell into the sea. In addition, 18 drones were detected, with 17 being neutralized and one crashing within UAE territory.
Since the start of Iranian attacks, a total of 253 ballistic missiles, eight cruise missiles, and 1,440 drones have been tracked. Of these, two missiles and 81 drones fell within UAE territory, while the rest were intercepted or fell into the sea.
The attacks have so far resulted in four fatalities, including citizens from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, and 117 minor injuries. The injured hail from a wide range of countries, including the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, and Palestine.
Earlier, Abu Dhabi authorities had reported two injuries while intercepting Iranian attacks. The Ministry of Defense affirmed its readiness to respond to all threats and vowed to firmly counter any attempts to undermine the stability and security of the state.
