US Military Launches Operation Against Drug-Linked Militants in Ecuador

**Washington (Qudrat Daily):** After operations in Mexico, Venezuela, and Iran, US military forces have now launched an operation in Ecuador targeting militants linked to drug trafficking networks.

The United States Southern Command (US Southern Command) confirmed the operation, stating that the actions demonstrate a strong commitment by partners across Latin America and the Caribbean to confront the threat of narcotics-related terrorism. The command emphasized that joint efforts are underway to take decisive action against drug-linked militant groups that have long fueled violence, corruption, and instability across the hemisphere.

Commander of US Southern Command, Francis L. Donovan, said the United States stands alongside Ecuador in the fight. “We commend the men and women of Ecuador’s armed forces for their unwavering commitment, courage, and determination in conducting sustained operations against drug-linked militants within their country,” he stated.

Officials described the operation as part of broader regional cooperation aimed at dismantling transnational criminal networks and strengthening security across the region.
