Four Government Employees Sentenced for Leaking Sensitive Information

Islamabad: Four government employees have been sentenced to prison for leaking sensitive information, while two others were acquitted, according to the Special Court under the Official Secrets Act.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra of the Official Secrets Act Court delivered the verdict in the case. Safdar Rehman was sentenced to 10 years in prison, while Tafseel Rehman, Muhammad Waqar, and Muhammad Tahir each received five-year jail terms. The court acquitted Mujtaba and Muhammad Ashfaq due to lack of evidence.
The case, registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), alleged that the accused had provided sensitive government information to a foreign embassy.
