Pakistan Opposition Alliance Urges Joint Parliamentary Session Amid Middle East Tensions

**Islamabad (Daily Qudrat Quetta):**
The Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan (TTAP) has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in the Middle East and what it described as imperialist designs against Iran, urging the government to convene an **immediate joint session of Parliament** to formulate a clear national policy.
The demand was made during a key meeting chaired by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, attended by senior leaders including Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Asad Qaiser, Salman Akram Raja, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, and others.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the alliance warned that the post-World War II global order is weakening, Israel is committing **genocide in Palestine**, and the **United Nations has become ineffective**. The TTAP emphasized that the government should call a joint parliamentary session to develop a national policy through collective wisdom.
The meeting highlighted that **imperialist powers are encircling Iran**, and Western media campaigns are creating a narrative challenging Iran’s sovereignty—an issue of grave concern for the Pakistani public.
The alliance also proposed that the government convene a **regional meeting with neighboring countries** to assess the potential impacts and establish a coordinated strategy in response to the ongoing Middle East tensions.
