Written Contracts Made Mandatory for Teachers in Private Schools Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad: Written employment contracts have been made mandatory for teachers working in private schools across **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, following new directives issued by the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority**.
According to an official notification sent to all private schools in the province, institutions are now required to sign formal written agreements with teachers prior to their appointment.
The directive states that the contract must clearly outline the teacher’s salary, working hours, and responsibilities. It must also include written details regarding leave entitlements, duration of employment, and conditions for termination.
Under the new policy, one copy of the agreement will be provided to the teacher, while another must be retained in the school’s official records.
The authority has warned that any violation of the directive will result in action under the relevant provisions of the KPPSRA Act. The move is aimed at ensuring transparency, protecting teachers’ rights, and regulating employment practices within private educational institutions across the province.
