Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Arrives in Quetta on One-Day Official Visit

Quetta: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on a one-day official visit on Monday. She was warmly received at Quetta Airport by Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail along with provincial ministers.

Following her arrival, the Punjab chief minister proceeded to the Governor House, where a one-on-one meeting with the Governor of Balochistan is scheduled.

During her visit, Maryam Nawaz will meet the families of those martyred and injured in recent terrorist attacks and express solidarity with them. She is also expected to hold a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti.

Consultations on the prevailing political and security situation in Balochistan will be held at the Governor House with members of the provincial cabinet. Punjab Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Punjab Minister Uzma Bukhari, and the Chief Secretary of Punjab are accompanying the chief minister.

The visit is considered significant in view of the current political and security situation in Balochistan.
