Chief Justice of Balochistan Pays Tribute to Slain District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar

Quetta: Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, Justice Mohammad Kamran Khan Malakhail, has paid tribute to slain District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar, describing him as an honest, dedicated, principled, and patriotic judicial officer with an unblemished professional reputation.

The remarks were made during a meeting of the committee of Balochistan High Court judges chaired by the chief justice on Friday.

The committee expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar, who was fatally shot in an armed attack near Wali Khan Crossing while traveling from Quetta to Mastung to perform his official duties.

In a statement, the chief justice and the judges said that the late judge served the judiciary with unwavering integrity, selfless dedication, tireless commitment, and exceptional courage throughout his career. They said he sacrificed his life in the line of duty, setting a lasting example of devotion, bravery, and selflessness in the administration of justice.

The committee also expressed concern over the injuries sustained by Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Ali Lashari in the same attack and prayed for his speedy and complete recovery.

The judges further paid tribute to Muhammad Zaman, the judge’s security guard, who was also martyred while performing his duty during the attack. They described his sacrifice as a remarkable example of courage, loyalty, and dedication to duty, offering prayers for the elevation of his ranks and patience for his bereaved family.
