Sorab District Issues New Security Guidelines for Public Transport Amid Threats

Sorab:In light of potential security threats, the Assistant Commissioner of Sorab has issued new security guidelines for all public transport operators, including coaches and van services, within the district. According to an official notification, starting from July 21, 2025, the following security measures will be mandatory for all public transport vehicles operating across the district:
1. Deployment of private security guards on each coach and van.
2. Installation of GPS tracking systems on buses.
3. Presence of alarm buttons on vehicles.
4. Installation of CCTV cameras inside the vehicles.
The notification stressed that these measures are essential for ensuring the safety of the public’s lives and property. It further warned that if the regulations are not fully implemented by July 22, 2025, strict legal action will be taken against non-compliant transport operators.
This move comes as part of ongoing efforts to improve security in the region and mitigate any potential risks for passengers using public transportation.
