Sirajul Haq Criticizes Rulers over Corruption, Inflation, and Injustice in Jafarabad Address

JAFARABAD: Former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has strongly criticized the current rulers, accusing them of turning Pakistan into a symbol of corruption, lawlessness, inflation, and injustice. He said that today the world views Pakistan not as a beautiful Islamic state, but through the lens of corruption and instability.
He expressed these views while addressing a collective Nikah ceremony in Jafarabad, where he solemnized the marriages of 13 couples. The event was organized on the occasion of the wedding of the sons of Balochistan Assembly Member and Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Abdul Majeed Badini. Abdul Majeed Badini also addressed the gathering.
Sirajul Haq said that Balochistan is like a beautiful bouquet, but incompetent and oppressive rulers have left it bleeding. He emphasized that eliminating terrorism, lawlessness, and insecurity is the most urgent need of the time, which cannot be achieved through statements alone but requires sincere, honest, and people-friendly leadership.
He stated that while the country has many oppressed people, there is no effective system to provide them with justice. The public, he said, is suffering due to inflation, unemployment, and poverty, while the ruling elite remains busy enjoying protocol and privileges. He added that in Balochistan, youth have been deprived of employment, patients of medical treatment, and children of their right to education, forcing residents of Quetta to travel to Karachi and other cities for healthcare and education.
Addressing the youth, the former Jamaat-e-Islami chief urged them to choose pens and books over guns, saying education is the only solution to the country’s problems. He described Jamaat-e-Islami as a party free from feudalism, capitalism, and dynastic politics, representing the poor, farmers, and laborers. He said the party offers an alternative system based on Quranic principles of justice, equality, and fairness to pull the country out of its crises.
Sirajul Haq also praised Abdul Majeed Badini for his simplicity and close connection with the public, saying that a true public representative is one who remains among the people despite holding power. He remarked that if there is darkness in the homes of the people, there should also be darkness in the homes of the rulers, calling it the essence of a truly revolutionary and reformist system.
At the end of the ceremony, Sirajul Haq congratulated Abdul Majeed Badini on the marriage ceremonies of his sons, reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining ties with the people of Jafarabad, and slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Islam Zindabad” were raised.
