Lahore — After a gap of 17 years, Lahore has once again come alive with the vibrant colors of Basant, as the historic kite-flying festival returns under safety regulations approved by the Punjab government. The three-day celebration has sparked widespread excitement, drawing not only residents of Lahore but also visitors from other cities.
From the narrow lanes of the old city to modern housing societies and open grounds, colorful kites have filled the skies, recreating the festive spirit Lahore is famous for. Music, fireworks, and cheerful voices have added to the lively atmosphere, while the younger generation, many experiencing Basant for the first time, has shown particular enthusiasm.
Alongside the general public, Pakistani showbiz stars and social media personalities have actively taken part in the celebrations. Popular comic singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan arrived in Lahore to mark Basant and shared a video on social media in which he can be seen dancing energetically while holding a kite. The video quickly grabbed attention, spreading smiles among viewers, while fans were also seen taking pictures with him.
On the occasion, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan also released his new song *“Banday Barian Hain”* on YouTube and other social media platforms.
