Freedom Will Dawn in Line with Aspirations of Kashmiris: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Muzaffarabad: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that the morning of freedom will soon dawn in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people, as he paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Muzaffarabad, where he laid a floral wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial. He paid homage to the unparalleled courage, sacrifices, and enduring struggle of the martyrs of the Kashmir movement.
While interacting with dignitaries and veterans on the occasion, the Chief of Defence Forces reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
He said that Indian oppression, continuous human rights violations, and Hindutva-driven excesses have failed to suppress the legitimate struggle and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmir cause.
Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that freedom will come in line with the destiny and wishes of the Kashmiri people, adding that Pakistan will continue to highlight the Kashmir issue vigorously at all relevant international forums until a just resolution of the dispute is achieved in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.
He emphasized that Pakistan will continue to express complete solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
During the visit, the Chief of Defence Forces also praised the unwavering commitment, high morale, professional competence, and combat readiness of officers and troops deployed in Kashmir. He stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of preparedness, vigilance, and effective inter-services coordination despite challenging operational conditions, to ensure a timely and decisive response to any enemy provocation.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited a forward post, where he met frontline troops and stated that any aggression would be met with an immediate, swift, and effective response. He said that the armed forces are fully prepared to counter conventional and hybrid threats in the evolving security environment.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Muzaffarabad, the Chief of Defence Forces was received by the Rawalpindi Corps Commander.
