Opposition Alliance Urges Pakistan to Withdraw from ‘So-Called Gaza Board of Peace’

Lahore: The opposition alliance Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain Pakistan has demanded that the government immediately withdraw Pakistan’s participation from what it termed the “so-called Board of Peace on Gaza.”
In a joint declaration issued after a conference on the Gaza situation, the alliance said Pakistan should promptly pull out of the “Board of Peace” and urged the government to engage Parliament, national and democratic political parties, and public movements in a comprehensive debate to support the Palestinian people, particularly in the context of what it described as US imperialism and the Trump administration.
The declaration stated that Pakistan should support the formation of a bloc of Global South countries to lead the global struggle for freedom and justice for Palestine.
The opposition alliance called for the formulation of a foreign policy based on mutual respect and cooperation. It condemned threats issued by former US President Donald Trump against Iran and rejected all forms of interference by imperial powers in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain Pakistan also expressed solidarity with Venezuela, Cuba, Colombia, and other countries in Latin America and Africa facing what it described as US aggression.
The statement further rejected the imposition of war and division in the region, calling it part of Washington’s plans to encircle and contain China. The alliance demanded a neutral foreign policy focused on regional peace and urged Pakistan to avoid becoming a proxy for Western powers.
