PM Shehbaz Sharif Praises Trump’s Peace Efforts, Appreciates Field Marshal Asim Munir’s Diplomatic Role

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised US President Donald Trump’s efforts for promoting peace in the region and said Pakistan will continue playing its role in supporting regional stability and dialogue.

Speaking on the ongoing diplomatic developments, the prime minister said President Trump had contacted leaders of Islamic countries as part of efforts to reduce tensions and promote peace in the region.

Shehbaz Sharif stated that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir represented Pakistan during discussions with President Trump and played an important diplomatic role in the ongoing peace process.

“The efforts of Field Marshal Asim Munir are commendable,” the prime minister said, adding that Pakistan would continue its efforts for peace and stability in the region.

He also expressed hope that the next round of negotiations would soon be hosted by Pakistan as diplomatic engagements continue among the concerned parties.
