Balochistan CM Vows Merit-Based Jobs, Announces Over 25,000 Vacancies

Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to providing dignified employment to the youth of the province, stating that no job belonging to the people of Balochistan will be sold under any circumstances.

The chief minister said that as part of practical measures to promote employment, advertisements for more than 25,000 government vacancies from Grade 1 to Grade 15 have already been issued. These steps aim to create job opportunities for the province’s youth strictly on merit and to strengthen the principles of good governance.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that a summary for around 4,000 vacant posts in Grades 16 and 17 has been formally sent to the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) to ensure that the recruitment process is completed in a transparent, fair, and constitutional manner.

He added that departments where tests and interviews have already been completed will soon issue appointment orders so that candidates do not face unnecessary delays. The chief minister further announced that an online testing system, similar to the one introduced in the Finance Department, will be implemented for other departments to ensure purely merit-based recruitment.

Emphasizing that transparency and merit are the foundations of good governance, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said the provincial government would not compromise on these principles. He reiterated that the government would not allow anyone to play with the future of the youth and that every eligible candidate would be given their rightful opportunity on merit.
