Balochistan Enhances Train Security, FC Deployed for Track Clearance; Trains to Operate Only During Daytime

**Quetta:** In a major move to ensure safe travel by rail in Balochistan, **hundreds of Frontier Corps (FC) North personnel** have been deployed daily for **railway track clearance and train security**, officials confirmed.

Speaking to the media, **Additional Chief Secretary Interior Balochistan Hamza Shafqat** said that under the new safety strategy, trains coming from **Sindh and Punjab will now pass through Balochistan districts only during daytime** to reduce risks and enhance monitoring. These measures aim to prevent potential attacks and curb terrorist activities promptly.

Hamza Shafqat added that the **combined efforts of the government, security agencies, and relevant departments** have already led to a noticeable decline in the number and intensity of attacks on trains and buses in recent years. However, security authorities continue to strengthen the system to ensure passengers can travel **without fear** and that **railway and bus services operate smoothly**.

He urged the public to **follow security guidelines during travel** and immediately report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities to maintain effective protective arrangements.

The Additional Chief Secretary emphasized that the **security framework and track clearance system in Balochistan** are being continuously updated and improved to ensure the safety of both passengers and railway staff.
