CM Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti Visits Kohlu, Announces Major Development Projects and Administrative Reforms

Kohlu: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, paid a one-day visit to Kohlu where he was received by former provincial minister Mir Naseebullah Marri and tribal elders. Member of the Provincial Assembly and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Ali Madad Jatak accompanied the chief minister.

PPP workers welcomed the chief minister on his arrival by lining the roads and chanting slogans. Addressing tribal elders, party workers, and office-bearers, CM Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to Shaheed Mir Gul Khan Marri and Justice Muhammad Nawaz Marri.

The chief minister said that the people of Kohlu and security forces have made immense sacrifices to restore peace and law and order in the area, which has led to a significant improvement in the security situation. He described Kohlu as his second home and said he has a long-standing relationship with the people of the district.

Announcing major development initiatives, the chief minister said that an additional grant of Rs 500 million would be provided for the District Council’s budget for the current year to promote public welfare. He added that funds have been allocated for the construction of roads and dams, as well as for the installation of Tuff tiles and improvement of the sewerage system in Kohlu city.

CM Bugti also announced important administrative reforms, including the upgradation of sub-tehsils Rehman Abad, Garsani, and Tambo to full tehsil status, while Union Council Karam Khan City would be elevated to the status of a sub-tehsil.

Speaking on tribal harmony, the chief minister emphasized that tribal disputes can only be resolved through mutual understanding and dialogue, not through the internet or social media. He said that alongside his official duties, he also bears tribal responsibilities which he is committed to fulfilling in the best possible manner.

He reiterated his resolve to completely eliminate tribal conflicts and steer the region toward overall development and prosperity. CM Bugti noted that the Marri tribes are aware and peace-loving, and disputes among brotherly Baloch tribes will be resolved through consensus and dialogue. He assured that the government is ready to sit with tribal elders to resolve longstanding issues.

Former provincial minister Mir Naseebullah Khan Marri and Haji Ali Madad Jatak also addressed the gathering, supporting efforts aimed at peace, development, and stability in Kohlu.
