February 1 Karachi Rally to Be a Milestone for Pashtuns, Claims Pashtunkhwa NAP Leaders; Criticize Sindh Police for Biased Conduct

**Karachi (Qudrat Daily):** Leaders of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (NAP) have said that the public rally scheduled for February 1 in Karachi’s Saddar area will serve as a milestone for the city’s Pashtun community, highlighting their political, economic, and social significance.

Speaking at district committee meetings held in Banaras (District West) and Malir, central Secretary General Khurshid Kakaji, central secretary Isa Afghan, Sindh senior vice president Afzal Khan Watanyar, District West Secretary Mateen Khan Badizi, Sindh deputy secretary Syed Rafiullah Agha, and other senior leaders emphasized that the rally will feature speeches by party chairman Khushhal Khan Kakarr and other central and provincial leaders, focusing on Pashtun rights, challenges, and issues.

The leaders called on residents of Karachi and Hyderabad to actively participate in the rallies on January 30 at Hyderabad Halla Naka and February 1 at Empress Market, Saddar, Karachi, urging citizens to fulfill their national and democratic responsibilities.

They stressed that Pashtuns deserve equal and dignified rights in all sectors of life, noting that despite the region’s significant contribution to Pakistan’s natural resources, rivers, minerals, and forests, Pashtuns face severe economic hardship, insecurity, and discrimination in Karachi, Hyderabad, and other parts of Sindh.

The leaders urged the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government in Sindh to take concrete steps to protect Pashtun rights, ensure fair representation in electoral constituencies, and provide employment opportunities in government and private sectors according to population proportion.

Expressing strong concern over the behavior of Sindh police, the Pashtunkhwa NAP leaders criticized the authorities for their biased approach toward the Pashtun community, which they say restricts citizens from conducting legitimate businesses. The party demanded that Karachi and Sindh police immediately correct their conduct so that Pashtuns can live peacefully and with dignity.
