Balochistan CM Says Deployment of Women Police Officers Strengthens Public-Friendly Policing

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that another practical and effective step has been taken toward empowering women and making the police system more public-friendly in the province, with the deployment of women police officers to key positions across all districts of the Naseerabad Range.
The chief minister stated that women police personnel have been assigned important and responsible roles in various police stations, including complaint officers, deputy clerks, computer operators, and other administrative and decision-making positions. He noted that following these deployments, women officers have begun playing an active and effective role in addressing issues faced by women and the general public, including cases of domestic violence, leading to a visible increase in public trust.
Commending the Inspector General of Police Balochistan and the DIG Naseerabad Range, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that utilizing the full potential of women police officers would result in better policing, improved service delivery, and enhanced public facilitation.
He emphasized that these reforms aim to provide a safe, dignified, and trust-based environment in police stations for women and all complainants, enabling citizens to register complaints without fear or hesitation. The chief minister added that such measures would not only strengthen the police system but also increase women’s confidence in law enforcement institutions, which is essential for building a civilized and just society.
Reaffirming his commitment, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that ensuring equal opportunities for women in every sector remains a key part of the provincial government’s broader vision and reform agenda, and that practical steps in this direction will continue in the future.
