Abdul Khaliq Hazara Slams Provincial Government, Calls It Imposed and Devoid of Public Mandate

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Chairman of the Hazara Democratic Party (HDP), strongly criticized the provincial government, describing it as imposed and lacking the mandate of the people. He alleged that political parties forming the current government rely on parachute candidates and mafia elements to secure seats in Quetta, while local leaders with proven public support are sidelined.

He expressed these views while addressing the 18th anniversary ceremony of late Chairman Hussain Ali Yousufi and the oath-taking of the newly elected executive and central council of HDP. Party leaders Ahmed Ali Kohzad, Zaman Dehqanzada, Sima Batool, and Murtaza Sultan also spoke at the event. Dr. Sakhi served as stage secretary.

The speakers paid tribute to Hussain Ali Yousufi’s national, literary, political, cultural, and social contributions, calling his life an exemplary model for future generations. They pledged to follow his path, advocating for the rights, identity, and welfare of the Hazara community and other marginalized groups.

Addressing regional and global concerns, the speakers urged attention to leadership deficits, calling for organized efforts to highlight injustices, oppression, and human rights violations against minority groups in Afghanistan and globally. They condemned laws enabling child marriages and the imposition of a single sectarian belief over others, describing such measures as violations of human rights and Islamic principles.

Khaliq Hazara also criticized the provincial government led by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), stating that it was imposed on the people and lacks any program beyond corruption. He highlighted the province’s deteriorating situation, citing gas and electricity shortages, mobile network shutdowns, slow internet, employee strikes, and brutal arrests of teachers and Grand Alliance employees.

He stressed that the exclusion of genuine public representatives from assemblies has worsened the province’s conditions. Khaliq Hazara warned that unless the right to vote is respected and assemblies are formed through fair elections, the influence of mafias and parachute candidates will continue to destabilize governance.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful democratic struggle for the rights of the people. The ceremony concluded with participants visiting the Hazara cemetery, offering floral tributes and prayers at the grave of late Hussain Ali Yousufi.
