Pakistan Signs Board of Peace Agreement, Commits to Gaza Peace and Reconstruction

**Davos:** Pakistan has formally signed the “Board of Peace” agreement following an invitation from the United States, marking its commitment to supporting initiatives for peace in Gaza. The signing took place during the 56th annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where the U.S. announced the establishment of the Gaza Board of Peace.

The ceremony was attended by heads of state from various countries, including Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. U.S. President Donald Trump officially inaugurated the Board of Peace, describing it as a platform for resolving international conflicts. He stated that 59 countries are participating in peace efforts in the Middle East, with several global leaders expressing interest in joining the forum.

Following Trump’s signing of the charter and presentation of the documents to the media, other world leaders, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, also signed the agreement. With Pakistan’s signature, the country now takes an active role in the global process for sustainable peace in Palestine, permanent ceasefire in Gaza, and post-conflict reconstruction efforts.

The Board of Peace is expected to coordinate international efforts to ensure lasting peace, facilitate dialogue among conflicting parties, and support reconstruction and humanitarian initiatives in Gaza.
