ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has awarded the prestigious Sitara-e-Shujaat to Liaqat Ali Shaheed, the brave civilian who sacrificed his life while preventing a suicide bomber from carrying out an attack near Kohat.
The award was received by the martyr’s mother during a ceremony at the Presidency, where Liaqat Ali’s family was brought with full official protocol in recognition of his extraordinary bravery.
Sitara-e-Shujaat is Pakistan’s second-highest civilian award for courage and gallantry.
