Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Condemns Alleged Looting by Customs and Police in Quetta

**Quetta:** Leaders of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) have strongly condemned what they described as rampant looting by customs officials and security forces in Quetta, vowing not to tolerate the “economic killing” of traders.

PkMAP Provincial General Secretary Kabir Afghan, Provincial Deputy Secretary Haji Soorat Khan Kakar, Obaidullah Achakzai and others met a delegation of traders from New Adda Sarki Road, who briefed them about alleged unlawful raids carried out by customs and security forces in the area last night.

Speaking on the occasion, Kabir Afghan alleged that customs officers and personnel from outside the province have been specially brought to Quetta to conduct raids on Pashtun-owned shops and business centers. He said PkMAP strongly condemns these actions and will fully defend the interests of traders and the business community with public support.

He further stated that the party will not remain silent over restrictions imposed by police and traffic police on Zoranj vehicles and Mazda buses, and the harassment of citizens at intersections and main roads in Quetta.

According to PkMAP leaders, customs authorities have been conducting continuous raids in areas including **Hazarganji, Bypass, Sariab Road, New Adda, and Sarki Road**, causing traders losses worth billions of rupees. They termed raids in cities, highways, markets and commercial centers—despite prior customs clearance in border areas—as unconstitutional and illegal.

The party alleged that these operations are being carried out for extortion, corruption, commissions and personal gain. PkMAP leaders demanded an immediate halt to such actions and warned that continued harassment of traders and the public would not be tolerated.
