Joint Action Plan Launched to Boost Women Voter Registration in Balochistan

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** A training program was held at the office of the Provincial Election Commissioner (PEC) Balochistan in Quetta to mark the fifth phase of the women’s national identity card issuance and voter registration campaign. The program was chaired by Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial.
The session was attended by Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Syed Wasim Ahmed Jafri, Director Elections Abdullah, Regional Election Commissioners of Zhob, Quetta, Sibi/Naseerabad, and Kalat divisions, Deputy Director Gender and Social Inclusion Shabbir Khan, district election commissioners, and representatives from NADRA.
Addressing the participants, Ali Asghar Sial emphasized the importance of the INVR-V initiative, highlighting its aim to reduce the gender gap in voter registration and to raise awareness among women about the significance of national identity cards and electoral participation. He instructed that women’s registration in eight districts be strengthened in coordination with NADRA, and that mobile registration facilities be fully utilized where women lack CNICs.
During the program, the Director of Elections and Deputy Director Gender and Social Inclusion presented detailed statistics and strategies regarding gender disparities, while district election commissioners offered recommendations. NADRA officials assured full cooperation in the campaign.
The PEC urged all officers to mobilize their resources effectively to ensure the success of the campaign and achieve a significant increase in women voter registration across the province.
