Kech District Faces Rising Lawlessness as Kidnappings for Ransom Resurface: Dr. Malik

**Turbat (Qudrat Daily):** A major press conference was held in Turbat under the banner of All Parties Kech, expressing deep concern over increasing lawlessness, kidnappings for ransom, thefts, and violent crimes in Kech District.

Former Chief Minister of Balochistan and National Party President Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch addressed the gathering, highlighting the alarming resurgence of kidnappings for ransom. He stated that forced disappearances have long been a tragic issue in the district, but recent incidents involving the abduction of two individuals—Haseeb Yaseen (son of Yaseen) and Shah Nawaz (son of Gul Jan)—have intensified public fear. The kidnappers are reportedly demanding a hefty ransom that the victims’ families cannot afford.

Dr. Malik said that despite contacting the IG Police, IG FC, and other relevant authorities, no concrete action has been taken so far. He emphasized that with modern technology, tracing phones is not a difficult task, yet the abductors remain at large, which is deeply concerning.

The press conference was attended by members of the Pakistan Medical Association, Kech Bar Association, Balochistan Bar Council, municipal officials, business associations, civil society representatives, student organizations, and other local leaders.

Dr. Malik announced that All Parties Kech will fully support the bereaved families in whatever course of action they take. He condemned the emerging pattern of abductions for ransom as unacceptable.

The conference concluded with a call for public protests, including a rally on January 5 and a complete road blockade on January 7, aimed at urging authorities to take responsibility for the safety and security of the district’s residents.
