Shehzad Akbar Denounces Fake Viral Image Following Attack in UK, Assures Faith in Law Enforcement

United Kingdom: Former Special Assistant on Accountability Shehzad Akbar has issued a statement following an attack by an unidentified individual in the UK, clarifying that a widely circulated image of his injured face on social media is fake.
According to news reports, Shehzad Akbar, who served during former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s tenure, was injured in the incident, sustaining a fractured nose and multiple facial wounds. Police have launched a formal investigation into the attack.
In his statement, Akbar emphasized that the viral image is artificially generated using AI and does not reflect the actual event. He urged the public not to spread misinformation regarding the incident.
Describing the attack, Akbar said the assailant appeared to be a construction worker or garbage collector, who first confirmed his identity before suddenly launching the assault. He asserted that such cowardly acts will not intimidate him.
He added that police are actively searching for the attacker and any accomplices and assured that the perpetrators will be apprehended. Due to ongoing investigation, he refrained from sharing CCTV footage or photographs but expressed full confidence in the legal process.
Akbar also called on the British government to ensure safety for all individuals, regardless of differing views.
It is noteworthy that in 2023, Shehzad Akbar was previously injured in a reported acid attack in London.
