Alima Khan Claims PTI Leaders Targeted, Criticizes ‘Tosha Khana’ Verdicts

Rawalpindi: PTI leader Alima Khan has accused authorities of denying visas due to fear of individuals named Qasim and Suleman, and claimed that artificial intelligence was allegedly used to create videos showing the two brothers entering Pakistan to engage in politics.

Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi alongside her lawyer, Faisal Malik, Alima Khan criticized the verdicts in the Tosha Khana case, in which former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 17 years in prison. She questioned why no action was taken regarding the vehicle taken by Maryam Nawaz from Tosha Khana, calling it a mockery of the law.

Alima Khan said, “Our founder called for a peaceful protest on November 22 last year. I am being accused of conveying his message to the public. False witnesses are presented by police, yet they go unpunished. Justice in Pakistan is no longer served. There are good judges, but they are ignored.”

She further stated that the Tosha Khana case is “bogus,” arguing that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were punished over undervaluation of gifts, while Maryam Nawaz faced no consequences for her vehicle acquisition. “The law has been turned into a joke in Pakistan,” she added.

Alima Khan also shared that the PTI leadership continues to convey the founder’s message for street movements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and emphasized that 90 percent of PTI supporters are represented by the founder. She criticized party leaders advocating negotiations, saying they do not align with the founder’s position.

Her lawyer, Faisal Malik, stated that no substantial evidence exists against Alima Khan in the November 26 case. He filed a plea for her acquittal, noting that despite the request, witness statements were recorded on the same day. Malik described the proceedings as politically motivated and urged the courts to provide fair justice, while noting the prosecution’s haste in pursuing her case.
