Martyrs’ Blood Will Not Go in Vain, Enemy Will Never Succeed: IG Balochistan

Quetta: Inspector General of Police Balochistan has delivered a firm and resolute message, stating that the blood of martyrs will not go in vain and that the enemy will never succeed in its nefarious designs, as the morale of the police force remains rock-solid.

Addressing the 104th Recruit Course passing-out parade at the Police Training College (PTC), Quetta, held in the presence of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti as the chief guest, the IG Police paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of the 2016 PTC attack, reaffirming the force’s unwavering resolve to defeat terrorism.

The IG Police announced a revolutionary modernization roadmap for the Balochistan Police, aimed at transforming the force from traditional policing methods to modern, technology-driven law enforcement. He revealed plans to equip the police with artificial intelligence (AI), drone technology, and long-range precision weapons, enhancing operational capacity against emerging security threats.

He further disclosed that specialized schools are being established for key departments, including the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and investigation wings, to strengthen professional skills and advanced training.

The IG appreciated the provincial government for ongoing development works at the Police Training College, including the construction of a grand mess hall, sports grounds, and a police grammar school. At the same time, he highlighted long-standing institutional challenges before the chief minister, such as the need for a dedicated electricity feeder to overcome prolonged load-shedding, improvement of the dilapidated sewerage system, reconstruction of damaged roads, and the construction of family apartments for staff.

He also emphasized the growing responsibilities of the police following the integration of the Levies Force into the police, calling for additional resources to effectively manage law and order across the expanded jurisdiction.

Concluding his address, the IG Police congratulated the newly passed-out recruits on entering the practical field and urged them to serve with professionalism, courage, and dedication to the people of Balochistan.
