Mega Recruitment Scandal at SBK Quetta University: Failed Candidates Given Top Positions, Billions Misappropriated

Quetta: A massive recruitment scandal at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBK), Quetta, has entered a new and serious phase, exposing widespread corruption and the complete disregard for merit in Balochistan’s education system.
According to newly uncovered evidence, around 200,000 candidates appeared for 8,000 teaching positions, each paying a fee of 1,000 PKR, generating billions of rupees. However, results were manipulated to award top positions to candidates who had failed, effectively destroying the integrity of the merit system.
Sources revealed that examination sheets of 600 candidates from across Balochistan have surfaced, serving as clear evidence of the fraud. The documents show how candidates with low scores or who had failed were marked as successful and placed at the top of the merit list, depriving thousands of deserving applicants of their rightful opportunities.
Officials confirmed that a network of individuals was involved in orchestrating this scheme. Despite the enormity of the scandal, only the university’s Vice Chancellor has been removed, while the main culprits remain at large.
Following the emergence of new documentary evidence two years after the initial allegations, the investigation has now entered a broader and more detailed phase. Candidates and their parents have demanded a transparent inquiry and called for strict action against all those involved, warning that mere symbolic measures will not suffice. They emphasized that only holding all responsible parties accountable will validate the Balochistan government’s claims of transparency and integrity.
