Sindh Government Committed to Strengthening Cooperation with UNICEF: Murad Ali Shah

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to further strengthening its cooperation with UNICEF.
In his message on the occasion of UNICEF’s 79th anniversary, he said the organization has been working globally for children’s rights, health, education, and protection. “UNICEF Day reminds us that every child is the most precious asset of the world,” he added.
Murad Ali Shah noted that Pakistan became a member of UNICEF soon after its creation in 1947, and the Sindh government has since maintained strong partnerships with the organization across multiple sectors.
Highlighting ongoing joint initiatives, the chief minister said UNICEF is a key partner in improving children’s health, education, and addressing malnutrition. He added that effective measures were taken with UNICEF’s support to protect children in flood-affected areas.
He further stated that training programs focused on livelihood and skills development for girls are underway with UNICEF’s assistance, particularly in Khairpur and Ghotki, where young women are being empowered through vocational training.
