Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Inaugurates New Facilities at King Salman Air Base

**Islamabad (Daily Qudrat)** — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister **Mohammed bin Salman** on Tuesday inaugurated a series of new administrative and military facilities at **King Salman Air Base**, marking a major step in strengthening the Royal Saudi Air Force’s operational readiness.

Upon his arrival, the Crown Prince was received by Minister of Defense **Prince Khalid bin Salman** and other senior officials.

During the visit, Prince Mohammed bin Salman inspected various sections of the base and received detailed briefings on the new technical, administrative, and residential infrastructure built according to international standards. He also reviewed the construction phases and engineering components of the project.

The newly inaugurated facilities are designed to enhance the Air Force’s combat preparedness while supporting planning, command, control, logistics, and joint operations capabilities for the Saudi Armed Forces.

A video presentation showcased the project’s development stages, which began in the **third quarter of 2021** and were completed within **38 months**. The base has been constructed in the architectural style inspired by the legacy of King Salman, reflecting Riyadh’s cultural identity and modern urban trends.

The project comprises **115 buildings** covering an area of more than **126,000 square meters**. Key features include runways, aircraft parking areas, helicopter pads, hangars, an air traffic control tower, and extensive technical, administrative, residential, and security facilities.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Minister of Energy **Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman**, Deputy Emir of Riyadh **Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman**, Riyadh Mayor **Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz**, along with senior civil and military officials.
