Jeddah: On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the sun will pass directly over the Kaaba in Makkah, providing a unique opportunity for Muslims worldwide to determine the accurate direction of the Qibla.
According to a report published in a respected national daily, this celestial event will occur at 2:18 PM Pakistan Standard Time. At this precise moment, the sun will be positioned exactly above the Kaaba.
During this event, the shadows cast by objects across the globe will point in the direction opposite to the Kaaba. By marking the direction of the shadow at that time, one can accurately determine the Qibla.
This rare phenomenon happens twice a year. The next occurrence after May 28 will be on July 16, 2025.
